Football MVP – Aidan Cain
Aidan Cain had a career in a year because the Mt. Lebanon senior lost his sophomore and juniors seasons, the result of back-to-back ACL tears that required reconstructive surgery. Last fall, Cain shattered multiple records to become not only the school’s best wide receiver but also the greatest of all-time in the WPIAL, based on statistics, and one of the elite in Pennsylvania. With 101 receptions for 1,749 yards and 14 touchdowns, he set state and WPIAL standards for most catches and yards in a season. He also set state records for receptions (27) and yards (350) in one game. Cain, a William & Mary recruit, accomplished the feat in the first game of the season, when Mt. Lebanon lost to Pine-Richland, which went on to capture the WPIAL and PIAA championships.
