Girls basketball MVP – Alexa Williamson

A one-player wrecking crew and four-year starter for Chartiers-Houston, Williamson was one of the most prolific scorers and rebounders in Washington County history. She led the WPIAL in scoring this season, averaging at 30.7 points per game. She also averaged 14 rebounds and led the Bucs to the WPIAL Class 2A championship game for the second consecutive year. Williamson used her Division I size, strength and speed to outjump, overpower and outrun opponents. She scored 2,213 career points despite missing 17 games during her sophomore year because of an injury. A Temple recruit, Williamson broke her own school single-game scoring record with a 51-point performance in a state playoff win over Cambridge Springs. In eight career state playoff games, Williamson scored at least 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds seven times.
