Alison Riske drew a tough opening-round match for the French Open. The McMurray native will play top-seeded Simona Halep of Romania.

The 26-year-old Halep held the top spot for 16 weeks and has won 16 WTA tournaments and 6 ITF events.

Riske, who lives in Atlanta, is ranked 93rd in singles.
