Who to watch: Junior quarterback Zack Swartz remains the centerpiece to the Prexies’ attack through the air and on the ground. Swartz has thrown for 2,205 yards, seventh best in the WPIAL, with 28 passing touchdowns, just four interceptions and a 69 percent completion rate. On the ground, Swartz has 74 carries for 702 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Ironmen have two 1,000-yard rushers in seniors Kam Williams (1,666 yards and 20 touchdowns) and Todd Hill (1,329 yards and 25 touchdowns).

Noteworthy: Washington has scored 289 points in the last five weeks for an average of 57.points per game. … Steel Valley, which defeated Beth-Center in the first round last week, 49-0, has had a consistent offense this season, scoring at least 30 points in all 10 games this fall, including a season-high 64 against Apollo-Ridge in Week 7. … The Prexies defeated East Allegheny, 54-7, in last year’s quarterfinals before defeating Steel Valley, 37-10, in the WPIAL finals. … The teams have combined to win 10 WPIAL titles: Steel Valley has three (1988, 1989, 2016) and Washington seven (1917, 1920, 1923, 1926, 1993, 2001, 2017).
