Grillo directs California past Bentworth

ELLSWORTH – Austin Grillo threw five touchdown passes to lead California to a 55-21 victory over Bentworth in a Class A Tri-County South Conference game Friday night. 

All of Grillo’s completions went for touchdowns: 51 yards to Cochise Ryan, 43 yards to Malik Ramsey, 29 to Jaedan Zuzek, and 27 and 40 yards to Lucas Qualk. Jelani Stafford rushed eight times for 108 yards and a TD for Cal (4-1, 4-4). 

Owen Petrisek ran for one touchdown, caught a touchdown pass and threw a touchdown pass for Bentworth (3-3, 4-4).
