Lento scores 2 TDs in Chartiers-Houston win

HOUSTON — Anthony Lento ran for two touchdowns and Chartiers-Houston blanked Avella over the final three quarters to hold on for a 20-7 victory in a Tri-County South Conference game Friday night.

Chartiers-Houston (3-3, 3-5) moved to the .500 mark in the conference by overcoming a 7-0 deficit at the end of the first quarter. Jimmy Sadler trimmed the Avella advantage to 7-6 when he scored on a two-yard run and Lento gave C-H the lead with a three-yard TD run before halftime.

Lento gave the Bucs a two-score cushion with a seven-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

The C-H defense held Avella (0-5, 1-7) to 122 total yards. The Eagles took the lead on a two-yard run by Frank Craig. Owen English led the Eagles offense with 89 rushing yards on 15 carries.
