Cavanaugh runs for 229 yards, 3 TDs in Bentworth win

ELLSWORTH — Trent Cavanaugh rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns to pace Bentworth to a 49-0 victory over Mapletown in a Class A Tri-County South Conference game Friday night.

The games was called with 3:21 remaining in the third quarter because of inclement record.

Owen Petrisek rushed for 49 yards on three carries and scored twice for the Bearcats (2-1, 3-2). Shawn Dziak and Jamar Harper also scored.

Mapletown fell to 0-5, 0-3 in the conference.
