Ben Jackson had a double-double and West Greene wrapped up the fourth and final playoff spot from Section 2-A with a 67-45 victory over Jefferson-Morgan.

West Greene has qualified for the playoffs for four straight seasons, a program record.

Jackson scored 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Pioneers (5-7, 7-12), who led 35-20 at halftime. Ben Brudnock scored 20 points.

Tahj Jacobs scored a game-high 22 points for Jefferson-Morgan, which fell to 4-8 in the section and was eliminated from the playoffs.

Canon-McMillan 59, Ringgold 47: Canon-McMillan erupted for 41 first-half points and went on to 59-47 victory over Ringgold in a non-Section game.

Tom Somosky scored 17 points and Luke Palma added 12 points for Canon-McMillan (13-8), which led 41-15 at halftime.

Ringgold (13-7) was paced by Jayden Taylor’s 15 points, Chris Peccon’s 13 points.

South Fayette 49, Trinity 44: South Fayette made 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to secure a 49-44 victory from Trinity in a Section 2 game in Class 5A.

The two teams entered the fourth quarter tied, 32-32, and the Lions 5-9, 9-11) outscored the Hillers (4-10, 7-14) by a 17-12 margin. For the game, South Fayette made 13 of 16 free throws. Trinity went 6-for-6.

Drew Franklin tossed in 12 points and Braden Hoy contributed 10 points for South Fayette. 

Trinity, which lost its eighth straight game, was paced by Dylan King, who scored 16 points. Michael Koroly chipped in with 15 points.

Monessen 82, Mapletown 23: Four players scored in double figures as Monessen defeated Mapletown, 82-23, in a Section 2-A game.

Darnell Howell led the way with 17 points for the Greyhounds (12-0, 14-7). Devin Whitlock added 15 points, Elijahwa Payne scored 12 points and Marquel Smith contributed 10.

Lance Stevenson’s 8 points keyed the Maples (1-14, 1-21).

Bishop Canevin 67, Avella 46: Aiden Logan scored a game-high 19 points to lead Bishop Canevin to a  67-46 victory over Avella in a Section 2-A game.

Davie Montgomery reached double figures with 18 points and Neven Crossey contributed 11 points for Bishop Canevin (10-2, 14-7).

Tyler Cerciello scored 13 points for Avella (4-8, 6-16), which lost its fourth game in a row.
