High school basketball roundup: Marisa scores 36 as PT girls improve to 11-0
Makenna Marisa scored a career-high 36 points and had a double-double in Peters Township’s 90-56 non-section victory over Hempfield.
Marisa also had 10 steals for the Indians (11-0), who led 45-33 at halftime. Isabella Mills also had a double-double: 21 points and 10 assists. Journey Thompson and Mackenzie Lehman each had 10 points.
Sarah Liberatore and Emma Hoffner each scored 16 points for Hempfield (5-6).

North Catholic 82, Monessen 70: Isaac DeGregorio scored a game-high 28 points to lead North Catholic to an 82-70 victory over Monessen in a non-section game.
Zach Rocco added 14 for North Catholic (9-3).
Devin Whitlock scored a career-high 23 points for the Greyhounds (6-5), who trailed 38-32 at halftime. Elijhwa Payne tossed in 17 points and Dishon Howell chipped in with 15.
Laurel Highlands 66, Waynesburg 56: Keandre Cook scored a game-high 23 points, including six in the final two minutes, as Laurel Highlands survived a late rally by Waynesburg and edged the Raiders 66-56 in a nonsection game.
After starting the season with seven straight losses, LH (2-10) has won two of its last five games. Junior Salauca scored 13 points.
Lucas Garber led the Raiders (6-7) with 19 points and Colin Rose had 10.
