Canonsburg native drafted in 7th round

Rodney Thomas, a Canonsburg native, was selected in the seventh round of the NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts Saturday, the 239th pick in the three-day draft.

Thomas was a 6-1, 200-pound linebacker from Yale. His bio describes his abilities as explosive defensive back with cornerback and safety flexibility.

He is a graduate of Central Catholic and never attended Canon-McMilan High School.
