South Fayette doubles up Baldwin

McDONALD — Mike Gimigliano caught two touchdown passes, Nico Lamonde threw for two scores and South Fayette defeated Baldwin 28-14 in a Class 5A Allegheny Six Conference game Friday night.

Gimigliano scored two touchdowns in the first half on passes of 11 yards from Lamonde in the first quarter and one yard from Drew Welhorsky in the second quarter. Between Gimigliano’s scores, Talqan Mizenko broke off a 41-yard scoring jaunt as the Lions (1-2, 4-4) forged a 21-0 lead at halftime.

South Fayette made it 28-0 in the third quarter when Lamonde passed 17 yards to Dom Monz.

Baldwin (0-4, 1-6) did all its scoring in the fourth quarter.
