Anderson records hat trick in Trinity’s victory over Albert Gallatin
Brady Anderson recorded a natural hat trick in the first half and Trinity blanked Albert Gallatin, 4-0, in Class 3A Section 2 boys soccer play Saturday morning at Albert Gallatin.
The match was originally scheduled for Sept. 26, but was postponed because the Colonials’ football team had to play on that date.
The Hillers (8-2-1, 8-4-1) have 25 points and are in third place in the section behind Thomas Jefferson, who has 26 points, and Bethel Park (27 points).
Trinity controls its own destiny with remaining matches against the Black Hawks on Tuesday at Bethel Park; the Jaguars at Hiller Field on Thursday; and South Fayette (6-5-0-18 points) on Oct. 15 at South Fayette.
Keeper Ryan Torboli scored on a penalty kick in the second half and Trinity out shot the Colonials, 25-0. Torboli recorded the clean sheet without having to make a save. He is third all-time in shutouts in program history.
