High School Basketball: Canon-McMillan girls win in DC

The Canon-McMillan girls basketball team made a trip to the Nation’s Capital Saturday and came home with a win.

Izzy Bobitski led a balanced effort with nine points to help the Big Macs defeat Bishop O’Connell of Virginia, 42-38, at the She Got Game Classic in Washington D.C.

Lauren Borella scored eight points, while Brooke Stanton and Sam Miller finished with seven points each.

Faye Saunders contributed six points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Big Macs, who improved to 6-0.

Canon-McMillan was scheduled to play another game on Sunday, but it was cancelled.
