High School Basketball: Jefferson-Morgan boys earn win in West Virginia to remain unbeaten
John Woodward paced Jefferson-Morgan with 19 points in a 57-47 win over Morgantown Christian Academy Saturday at Clay-Batelle High School in West Virginia.
Jeremiah Robertson contributed 10 points for the Rockets, who remained unbeaten at 7-0. Jefferson-Morgan went 4-0 on the week.
Andy Rodriguez led Morgantown Christian Academy with 19 points.
Belle Vernon 70, Greensburg Central Catholic 50
Elijah Majors finished with 17 points and Cam Jenko scored 16 to lead Belle Vernon (7-3) to a 70-50 win over Greensburg Central Catholic (1-6) at the WCCA Showcase at Jeannette.
Luke Semelka had 17 points for the Centurions.
Avonworth 43, South Fayette 41
Eli Latouf had 14 points, but South Fayette (2-6) was edged 43-41 by Avonworth (2-5) at the Harry Jenkins Classic at La Roche University. Will Shields led the Antelopes with 20 points.
Baldwin 66, Trinity 49
Sadiq Anderson had 17 points to lead Baldwin past Trinity 66-49 in Class 5A Section 3 action.
Jonah Williamson led the Hillers (1-2, 2-5) with 14 points. Andrew Selway and Ian Migyanko scored 10 points apiece.
Evan Golash contributed 16 points for the Highlanders (1-1, 4-2) and Max Marzina scored 14.

Peters Township 51, Morgantown (W.Va.) 28
Bri Morreale led three Peters Township players in double figures with 20 points in a 51-28 victory over Morgantown (W.Va.) at the Buckeye 8 Challenge in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Taylor McCullough finished with 15 points for the Indians (4-3) and Jordyn Welsh scored 10.
Baldwin 63, Trinity 53
Trinity couldn’t overcome a 36-point night by Lyndsay Bernotas in a 63-53 loss at Baldwin in Class 5A Section 4.
Sutton Williamson led the Hillers (1-2, 5-2) with 17 points. Bently Layhue added 12 points and Gabby Rieg scored 10.
Jules Ott finished with 14 points for Baldwin (2-0, 6-1).
