Cal tops Gannon in PSAC West finale
Kendrick Agenor rushed for three touchdowns in the second half, including a tiebreaking 77-yard scamper in the fourth quarter, as California defeated host Gannon 41-21 in a PSAC West game.
Agenor’s second touchdown of the game gave Cal (3-3, 7-3) a 28-21 lead with 11:07 remaining in the game. He added a 13-yard TD run that gave the Vulcans a two-touchdown advantage, and Samuel Hobb returned a fumble 44 yards for a score to close the scoring.
Cal led 14-7 after one quarter, scoring on a 49-yard run by Phaeton Hill and a 69-yard punt return by Deontae Williams. It was the third consecutive game in which Williams has scored a special-teams touchdown.
Cal went ahead 21-7 in the third quarter on a 42-yard TD run by Agenor, who finished with 153 rushing yards.
Gannon (1-5, 1-10) used two touchdown passes by Ty Hurst to tie the score at 21-21 with 11:28 remaining.
