High School Soccer: Waynesburg girls’ upset run continues with win over Seton LaSalle

Waynesburg’s upset run in the Class A playoffs continued Saturday. The 11th-seeded Raiders (11-4-2) earned a 3-1 win over No. 3 Seton LaSalle (14-5) in the quarterfinals at Peters Township.
Ava D’Allesandro, Rylei Rastoka and Serenity Taylor had a goal each for the Raiders.
Bentworth 2, OLSH 0
Brielle Dillon scored a pair of goals to lead No. 2 Bentworth (17-1-1) to a 2-0 win over No. 10 OLSH (8-7-1) in the Class A quarterfinals.
The Bearcats will play Section 2 rival Waynesburg in the semifinals 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Peters Township Middle School. Bentworth swept the regular season meetings with the Raiders.
Boys soccer
Peters Township 1, North Allegheny 0
Keedan Kelly had the lone goal as Peters Township secured a 1-0 win over North Allegheny (10-7-3) in the WPIAL Class 4A quarterfinals Saturday.
Kelly scored with 36 minutes remaining in regulation. The Indians (19-0-1) meet Seneca Valley in the semifinals 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at West Allegheny.
Seneca Valley 3, Canon-McMillan 1
Canon-McMillan’s season came to an end with a 3-1 loss at Seneca Valley (16-2) Saturday in the WPIAL Class 4A quarterfinals.
Connor Mackrell, Owen Eastgate and Michael Pokrzywinski scored a goal each for the Raiders. The lone goal for Canon-McMillan (14-4) was an own goal by Seneca Valley.
