A big second quarter helped South Fayette pull away for a 34-21 victory over West Mifflin.

The Lions scored three touchdowns in the frame, including two from Aayden Wright.

Wright caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Braedon Plasko, which tied the game at 14-14 and had a 4-yard run for another touchdown with 35 seconds remaining until halftime, which gave the Lions a two-score cushion.

Sandwiched in between the two Wright scores was a 2-yard interception return by Jacob Bostian.

Plasko closed the scoring with a 53-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He also threw a 11-yard touchdown pass to Alex Deans in the first.

Plasko completed 14 of 18 passes for 165 yards.
