Cal men roll past Slippery Rock
Bryson Lucas led four California basketball players in double figures with 21 points in a 86-75 win at Slippery Rock Saturday afternoon.
The Vulcans improved to 10-1 in PSAC play and 13-5 overall.
Jordyn Buchanan added 17 points, Brayden Reynolds contributed 14 points and Antoine Arnett scored 12.
The Vulcans went 31 for 42 from the free throw line and held a 43-31 lead over Slippery Rock (6-5, 13-6) at halftime.
Washington & Jefferson 85, Allegheny 72: Five players scored in double figures for Washington & Jefferson, led by Noah Plotner with 18 points in a 85-72 win in a PAC game against Allegheny (4-4, 6-11).
Alex Acosta and Michael Plasko had 15 points apiece, Matt Seidl finished with 13 points and Matthew Carte scored 12 for the Presidents (6-2, 13-4).
Westminster 86, Waynesburg 78: DJ Harrell’s game-high 30 points helped Westminster (6-2, 11-6) slip past Waynesburg 86-78 in a PAC game.
Casey Keesee and Aiden Blake scored 24 points apiece for Waynesburg (2-6, 6-13).

Slippery Rock 74, California 61: Slippery Rock used a 24-14 advantage in the fourth quarter to secure a 74-61 win against PSAC rival California.
Hope Hawkins led California (5-6, 9-12) with 20 points. Kennedy Bankett chipped in 12 points and Trinity Balog scored 10.
Sophia Hook paced Slippery Rock (4-7, 6-11) with 20 points.
Washington & Jefferson 76, Allegheny 47: Katie Kovalchik poured in 29 points as Washington & Jefferson (7-1, 12-5) cruised to a 76-47 win over Allegheny (5-3, 8-9) in PAC action.
Kovalchick made 10 baskets, including a trio of three-pointers and made all six of her free throw attempts. Stellanie Loutsion contributed 14 points for the Presidents.
Waynesburg 86, Westminster 74: Kalista Friday led a balanced scoring effort with 19 points for Waynesburg (3-5, 7-10) in a 86-74 win over Westminster (3-5, 6-11) in PAC action.
Mia Henkins (17 points), Julz Mohrbacher (16), Kara McFadden (13) and Macie Justice also scored in double figures for the Yellow Jackets.
