In the immortal words of former Meadows track announcer and Hall of Famer Roger Huston: It’s O-fficial.

Loua Dipa and the Burke Racing Stable, Fredericktown, are looking to make history.

The 3-year-old pacing filly is going to battle the boys in the 60th Adios Pace for the Orchids.

You go girl.

The Adios eliminations are scheduled for Saturday afternoon at The Meadows. The eliminations fields will be announced later this week.

Adios entries are due by 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The Grade 1, $350,000 Adios Pace for the Orchids, sponsored by 1/ST BET, will be held Saturday, July 25 with an 11:45 a.m. post time.

According to the United States Trotting Association, trainer Melanie Wrenn said North America Cup winner Odds On Mr Mamba has supplemented to The Adios.

The fee to supplement is $35,000.

Odds On Mr Mamba won the North America Cup at Woodbine Mohawk Park on June 13.

A Breeders Crown champion and Dan Patch honoree as a 2-year-old, Loua Dipa was homebred (Sweet Lou filly out of the Pet Rock mare Looksgoodinaromper) for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

According to Huston, a harness racing and Adios historian, the only filly to race in the Adios was With Thanks in 1969, 57 years ago.

“She’s very capable of winning it,” Burke said of Loua Dipa. “We’re not going there just to say we raced. We’re going there to win.

“It’s a legacy-maker. We’re giving her a chance to seal her legacy as, I think, one of the best 3-year-old filly pacers of all time.”

Kim French, longtime national horse racing writer and adjunct professor for the University of Louisville’s College of Business Equine Industry program, said Loua Dipa’s entry creates excitement and anticipation.

“I think she’s one of the best pacing fillies we’ve seen in a long time, maybe since (Hall of Fame) Rainbow Blue. Loua Dipa can beat these boys. And if she’s going to do it, this will be the spot.

“Ronnie obviously has more than 17,000 training wins, which is incredible. I think he knows how to manage a horse. This wouldn’t be putting her in for a bunch of heat racing and it just seems like a perfect opportunity.”

Burke added that the Burke Stable will enter four other 3-year-old pacers in The Adios including, Al Papi, Melillo, Frantic Hanover and Another C Note.

Ronnie Wrenn Jr. will drive Loua Dipa.

Earlier this year, Loua Dipa won the C$420,000 Grade 1 Fan Hanover for 3-year-old pacing fillies at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Loua Dipa’s winning time of 1:48.1 – a stakes, track and Canadian record bested then unbeaten Be Perfect BG.

Wrenn drove Loua Dipa’s 13 races in 2025. The filly hit the board 12 times, winning nine starts and earned $827,028. She captured two Grade 1 stakes, the Breeders Crown and She’s A Great Lady, and her 1:48 victory in a division of the International Stallion Stakes (G3) made her the fastest 2-year-old female pacer in history.

“Ronnie’s her driver forever,” Burke said of Wrenn Jr.

In the past, Burke has said Loua Dipa is the best filly he’s ever trained.

Loua Dipa, one of the stars of the stable, captured the Grade 3 $180,120 Jerry Silverman Memorial, for 3-year-old pacing fillies this past weekend.

Loua Dipa raised her lifetime earnings to $1,118,118 and collected the 13th victory in her career.

Her 1:48 win equaled the Meadowlands’ track record for 3-year-old pacing fillies, set in 2019 by Tall Drink Hanover, and the time eclipsed the 1:48.3 stakes record, set in 2021 by Hot Mess Express and matched in 2022 by Max Contract.
