McGuffey uses rushing attack to down West Greene

CLAYSVILLE – Caleb Simons had 148 yards rushing and two touchdowns as McGuffey (2-1) rolled to a 48-0 win against West Greene (1-2) in a nonconference game.

Simons’ 148 yards came on four carries, which averaged out to 46 yards per rush.

Denny Furmanek added two touchdown runs for the Highlanders, who led 34-0 at halftime.

Blake Ewig, Dante Gadani and Gage Clayton added a touchdown apiece.

As a team, McGuffey rushed for 376 yards and completed all three of its pass attempts for 26 yards.
