Belle Vernon blasts Greensburg Salem to improve to 4-1
BELLE VERNON – Chase Petrosky had three touchdowns and Belle Vernon rolled to a 49-14 victory over Greensburg Salem in a Class 3A Interstate Conference game Friday night.
The Leopards (1-0, 4-1) scored all seven of their touchdowns in the first half and had 30 points in the second quarter.
Petrosky scored on runs of nine and six yards and caught a 39-yard touchdown pass from Jace Gedekoh.
David Bergstedt added two rushing touchdowns. He opened the scoring with a 4-yard run and added a 29-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
Cameren Jenko scored on a 1-yard run and Vander Raczkowski found the end zone from 65 yards for the Leopards sixth and seventh touchdowns.
Terrance Martin had a pair of touchdown runs in the second half for Greensburg Salem (0-2, 0-5).
