High school softball: PT’s rally falls short

Peters Township’s comeback fell a run short as the Indians lost to visiting Fox Chapel, 8-7, Thursday in a non-section game.

Fox Chapel (1-2) scored five runs in the fourth inning to take an 8-2 lead. PT (3-3) scored four times in its half of the fourth and added one run in the seventh. The Indians left the bases loaded in the seventh.

Skylar Lemansky doubled and drove in two runs for PT. Emerson Gatten also had two hits and a double.
