Fort Cherry girls track advances

The Fort Cherry girls track team advanced to the WPIAL Class 2A team finals with its performance Wednesday at California.

The Rangers defeated Southmoreland (105-45), California (110-31) and second-place Winchester Thurston (77-63) to move on to Tuesday’s team final.

The Fort Cherry boys defeated California (78-72) and Winchester Thurston (95-46) but a 90-60 loss to Greensburg Central Catholic eliminated the Rangers.
