Hewitt scores twice in Carmichaels win
CARMICHAELS – Parker Hewitt ran for two touchdowns in Carmichaels’ 19-6 triumph over Avella on Friday night in Class A Tri-County South action.
The Mikes improved to 2-3 in conference play and 3-3 overall.
The Eagles (2-3, 3-5) scored first when Broden Hamm rumbled 22 yards into the end zone for a 6-0 lead at 7:08 of the first quarter.
Gage Kundly’s 10-yard run tied the game with 1:06 left in the first.
Hewitt’s pair of scores came from six and 10 yards out in the second and fourth quarters.
