Girls soccer: Bentworth stays unbeaten; Waynesburg, C-H keep pace
Bella Moyer set up all three Bentworth goals as the undefeated Bearcats blanked Beth-Center 3-0 in Class A Section 2 Monday night.
Bentworth (3-0, 6-0) led 2-0 at halftime.
Brielle Dillon, Brina Orsatti and Megan Keturakis each scored one goal.
Beth-Center is 0-4 in section and 1-5 overall.
* Kolbi Rastoka score done goal and assisted on another, leading Waynesburg to a 5-0 victory over Brownsville in Class 2A Section 1.
The win keep Waynesburg (3-1, 6-1) a half-game behind first-place Bentworth.
Rylei Rastoka and Bree Clutter each added one goal and an assist, and Emily Rafftery and Izzy Talpas scored one goal apiece.
* Amelia Brose had a hat trick, Ava Capozzoli added two goals and Chartiers-Houston rolled to a 9-0 win over California in Class 2A Section 1.
Chartiers-Houston (3-1, 5-2) is tied with Waynesburg for second place in the section.
Cecilia Hess, Hailey Siege, Nanna Bimpong and McKenna Penderville each tallied one goal.
C-H goalkeeper Ella Richey made five stops.
* Belle Vernon scored five goals in the second half and defeated Charleroi 7-0 in Class 2A Section 1.
Payton Walsh and Grace West each scored in the first half and tallied a goal in the second half. Ava Scalise, Emma Nickolow and Samm Mincone had the other tallies for the Leopards (4-2, 5-5).
