High school baseball: Trinity falls to Bethel Park
Two Bethel Park pitchers combined on a four-hitter and struck out 11 as the Black Hawks defeated host Trinity 5-1 in a Class 5A Section 2 game Monday.
Ethan Stanhoff drove in two runs to back the pitching of starter Dylan Schumacher and reliever Jack Bruckner.
Karson Hathaway had an RBI double for Trinity that tied the score at 1-1 in the first inning. The score remained that way until Bethel Park pushed across three runs in the sixth.
Keystone Oaks 7, McGuffey 3
Nate Rohe struck out 10 and pitched into the sixth inning as Keystone Oaks defeated host McGuffey 7-3 in Class 3A Section 4.
