South Allegheny holds off Ringgold
Imoni Ward had a pair of touchdowns, but Ringgold dropped a 33-21 non-conference game Friday night at South Allegheny.
Ward’s first touchdown, a 29-yard pass from Dennis Hawkins tied the game at 7-7, but South Allegheny scored three consecutive touchdowns to pull away.
Alijah Cook threw a 35-yard strike to Kymair Brown to make it 14-7. Joey Gamret scored on a 1-yard run and Hykeem Harrell had a 45-yard touchdown for the Gladiators.
Ward punched in a 10-yard run to cut the deficit to 27-14, but Austin Schane answered with a 29 yard TD run.
Hawkins connected with Demetri Lowe for a four-yard score in the fourth quarter.
