Jefferson-Morgan pulls away in 2nd half

Deakyn Dehoet ran for three touchdowns and caught a scoring pass as Jefferson-Morgan pulled away in the second half and defeated Chartiers-Houston 42-7 Friday night at Parker Field.

Dehoet’s first TD, a two-yard run, came in the second quarter and gave Jefferson-Morgan a 12-7 halftime lead. The Rockets pulled away by scoring 30 second-half points.

J-M took a 6-0 lead on a five-yard TD run by John Woodward, but Chartiers-Houston went ahead 7-6 in the second quarter as Aaron Walsh threw a 19-yard TD pass to Brody McCrerey.

DeHoet got J-M’s big second half going with a 62-yard touchdown run and a 71-yard scoring pass from Triton Farbee. Woodward added his second score of the night on a three-yard run, and Dehoet capped the scoring with a 10-yard TD run during the Rockets’ 22-point fourth quarter.
