Kickoff returns key to South Fayette victory

SHALER TOWNSHIP – Aayden Wright returned two kickoffs for touchdowns to lead South Fayette (2-0) to a 35-27 win at Shaler (0-2) on Friday night.

Wright had a 92 yard return in the first quarter which tied the score 14-14 and went 90 yards on his second kick return for a touchdown with 43 seconds remaining in the half. That gave the Lions a 28-20 lead going into halftime.

Drew Welhorsky found Alex Deanes for a 14-yard touchdown in the third which upped the lead to 35-20. Bo Stover had two rushing touchdowns in the first half on six and two-yard runs.
