High school basketball: South Fayette girls stay unbeaten, rout Pine-Richland
South Fayette stays unbeaten, routs P-R

Defending state champion South Fayette used a balanced offensive track and rolled over host Pine-Richland 72-29 in a nonsection girls basketball game Tuesday night.
The win improves the Lions’ record to 3-0 while Pine-Richland falls to 0-1.
South Fayette’s Haylie Lamonde led all scorers with 20 points, Juliette Leroux tossed in 16 and Kenzie Rumberger added 11.
The Lions led 22-9 after one quarter and moved out to a 25-17 edge at halftime before scoring 25 points in the third quarter.

Belle Vernon 58, Rochester 36
Lyla McConnell scored 15 points and Belle Vernon rode a big second quarter to a 58-36 non-section victory at Rochester.
Rochester held a 12-9 lead after the first quarter but Belle Vernon (2-1) outscored the hosts 17-2 in the second to take a 26-14 lead and pulled away from there.
Aubrey Brown totaled 11 points and seven rebounds for the Leopards, Saylor Lee contributed eight points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots and Isis Almyty added eight points and eight rebounds.
Kamryn Newman paced Rochester (0-2) with 13 points and Tia Yellock followed with 11.
Mapletown 30, Propel Montour 24
Makenna Lotspeich scored 13 points as Mapletown defeated Propel Montour 30-24 in a nonsection game.
Mapletown took a 9-5 lead in the opening quarter and gradually built a 27-20 advantage after three quarters and hung on from there.
