High School Softball: Partozoti collects four hits for Washington in win over Avella

Faith Partozoti singled four times in five at bats to help Washington defeat Avella 20-2 on Thursday.

Washington scored nine runs in the third and fourth innings to pull away.

Tateionna Warren hit an inside the park home run for the Prexies and Zkyiah Hines and Jakirah Howell tripled.

Avrey Rado and Madison Rush hit a double and drove in one run apiece for Avella.

Jefferson (Tenn.) 6, Bentworth 5

Bentworth had a two-run lead entering the bottom of the seventh, but a rally buoyed by an error allowed Jefferson (Tenn.) to rally for a 6-5 walk-off victory at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Willow Eckels took the hard-luck loss for the Bearcats in relief. Sydney Gonglik started and pitched three scoreless innings with five strikeouts and two walks.

The Bearcats had 11 hits, including a 3-for-4 day from Nora Lindley, who had three RBI.
