For the second consecutive day, rain caused the postponement of all WPIAL baseball and softball playoff games Thursday.

All games scheduled for Thursday have been rescheduled to today with the same start times and locations.

Three area teams will be in softball semifinal games at North Allegheny. In Class A, Jefferson-Morgan will play top-seeded Union at 3 p.m. followed by a pair of Class 2A games. Chartiers-Houston plays Riverside at 5 p.m. and Bentworth meets Neshannock in a rematch of last year’s 2A championship game.

Two Greene County rivals, undefeated Carmichaels and West Greene, will meet for a third time in the Class A semifinals. The Mikes and Pioneers will play at the Pleasant Valley Elementary School field in McMurray at 6 p.m.

In Class A baseball, Carmichaels, the only remaining public school in the classification, will play Eden Christian at Gateway (7 p.m.). That game will be preceded by the other Class A semifinal that matches Serra Catholic and Greensburg Central Catholic.
