South Fayette girls advance in PIAA

Silvi Rossi and Lily Chiapetta each scored two goals as WPIAL Class 3A runner-up South Fayette defeated District 6 champion Holidaysburg, 5-0, in the first round of the PIAA girls soccer tournament Tuesday.

Mia Deramo scored the other goal for South Fayette (19-2-1).

Chiapetti contributed two assists, as did Gabby Beinecke. Rossi had one assist for the Lions, who will play in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
