Wade directs Belle Vernon to first conference win
UNIONTOWN – Curtis Wade rushed for 101 yards, passed for 96 and scored three touchdowns to spark Belle Vernon to a 48-6 win at Laurel Highlands on Friday night in the Class 4A Big Six Conference.
Wade had TD runs of two, 35 and 20 yards. He also scored on a two-point conversion.
Belle Vernon (1-2, 2-5) scored on a safety and a 10-yard interception return by Caleb Horner. Chase Petrosky ran for touchdowns covering nine and 20 yards and Ean Tatar had a 45-yard scoring jaunt.
