California stays atop TCS with win
CALIFORNIA – Malachi Peak had three touchdown runs to pace California (6-0, 8-1) in a 38-3 victory over Beth-Center (2-5, 2-8) on Friday night.
The Trojans will play Jefferson-Morgan for the Tri-County South Conference title next Friday. Bentworth has an opportunity for a three-way tie if Jefferson-Morgan wins.
Peak scored from 18, one and 40 yards.
Landon Abercrombie added a pair of touchdowns on runs of six and 10 yards.
Logan Hartley had a 30-yard touchdown run and Brandon Meier scored from six yards out.
Hunter Bobbs broke the shutout for Beth-Center by connecting on a field goal. It’s the first points California has given up in five weeks.
