Highlands pulls away to beat McGuffey

NATRONA HEIGHTS – A 64-yard pass from Dakota Reedy to Caleb Simmons gave McGuffey the lead in the second quarter, but Highlands rattled off 31 unanswered points to secure a 38-12 win in nonconference play Friday night.

McGuffey (0-9) led 12-7, but Tevin Owen-Cratsenberg gave the Golden Rams (6-3) the lead for good with an 18-yard run.

Highlands quarterback Jamarkus Prager threw three touchdown passes to Jahmar Wright, including two in the second half to put the game away.
