Wash High cruises past Carlynton, 62-0

Wash High wasn’t looking ahead to next week’s big showdown with Seton LaSalle.
The Prexies took care of business Friday night in emphatic fashion, defeating Carlynton 62-0 in a Class 2A Century Conference game at Wash High Stadium on Friday night.
The victory sets up a conference title showdown with Seton LaSalle next Friday at Dormont Stadium. The winner secures the conference title.
Seton LaSalle beat Keystone Oaks, 55-0, Friday.
Washington racked up 433 yards of offense, including 343 yards on the ground and held Carlynton to 17 yards and minus-1 yard rushing.
Last year, Carlynton defeated Wash High, but a 26-point first quarter eased any worries of an upset Friday.
Jamarie Walker paced the Prexies with 79 yards and three touchdowns, all in the first quarter.
His first one was from 58 yards and opened the scoring. He added a 10-yard touchdown run that made it 12-0. Tristan Reed connected with Blaise Naraskivitch on a 44-yard touchdown to make it 19-0 and Walker added another score on a 2-yard run.
Washington scored four more touchdowns in the second quarter. Caleb Patton caught a 26-yard strike from Reed for a score, Ameer Nelson found the end zone on a 58-yard run, Isaac Charnik returned a fumble 28-yards for a touchdown and Naraskivitch scored in a 64-yard run.
Jaquay Heyman closed the scoring with a 69-yard run in the third quarter.
