McDONALD – Drew Welhorsky scored on a seven-yard run in the fourth quarter to make it a one score game, but that’s as close as South Fayette would get.

Moon (4-1, 7-3) held on for a 27-24 win Friday night in a tight Class 5A Allegheny Six Conference game.

Andrew Cross threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Sevi Vandetti to put Moon up 27-17 in the fourth quarter.

Braeden Stuart scored on runs of three and eight yards for the Tigers and Evan Senkevich hit a 47-yard field goal.

Luke Gillen nailed field goals of 27 and 35 yards for South Fayette (1-4, 5-5) and Aayden Wright scored on a 30-yard run.
