Waynesburg volleyball going to PIAA playoffs
McMURRAY – The Waynesburg Central High School girls volleyball team qualified for the PIAA playoffs by defeating Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in the WPIAL Class 2A third-place match Thursday night.
Waynesburg won in four games, 25-20, 25-18, 18-25, 25-16, a match played at Peters Township.
Waynesburg (21-1) moves on to the state tournament and will play Corry, the District 10 champion, in the opening round on Tuesday. The site and time has not been announced by the PIAA.
