High School Soccer: Trinity boys earn win over Ringgold
Cooper Cincinnati had a pair of goals to lead Trinity (2-0, 2-1) to a 4-1 win over Ringgold (1-2, 2-2) in Class 3A Section 2 boys soccer game Thursday night. Brady Anderson and Jacob Wright also scored for the Hillers, who led 2-1 at halftime. Nate Alvarez scored for Ringgold off a corner kick by Michael Stasko.
Bentworth 7, Chartiers-Houston 0
Ryan Moessner scored five goals and Adam Moessner netted a pair to help Bentworth (2-0, 5-0) cruise to a 7-0 win over Chartiers Houston (0-2, 2-4) in a Class A Section 2 match Thursday night. Billy Moyer contributed three assists for the Bearcats.
Beth-Center 16, California 0
Nekoda Bundy had four goals as Beth-Center (2-0, 4-1) rolled to a 16-0 victory over California (0-1, 0-1) in a Class A Section 2 match Thursday night. Parker Amos figured in on eight of the goals, scoring three and assisting on five. Acie Lawrence, Dominic Stopka, and Jacob Stopka scored two goals each.
Waynesburg 9, Brownsville 1
Brendan Cole scored four goals to pace Waynesburg (1-1-1, 1-2-1) in a 9-1 win over Brownsville (0-3, 1-5) in a Class 2A Section 4 game Thursday night.
Latrobe 3, Belle Vernon 0
Morgan Bunch made six saves and stopped a penalty shot, but Belle Vernon (2-1, 3-3-1) dropped a 3-0 decision to Latrobe (1-1, 1-2) in Class 3A Section 3 Thursday night.
