High School Soccer: McGuffey girls cruise past Steel Valley

Ella Wolfe scored three goals and assisted on another, powering McGuffey to a 6-0 thumping of Steel Valley in a Class 2A Section 1 match Wednesday.
The win pulled McGuffey (2-2, 3-3) up to the .500 mark. Steel Valley (0-3, 0-5) is winless.
Maddie Crowe scored two goals and had a pair of helpers, and Hannah McDonald added one goal and two assists. Goalkeeper Miranda Weaver had a clean sheet.
Bentworth 4, Brownsville 0
Bella Moyer powered Bentworth to a 4-0 victory over Brownsville by scoring three goals in the Class A Section 2 contest.
The Bearcats led 2-0 at halftime. The only other goal for the winners came from Madelyn Johns.
Bentworth (3-0, 5-1-1) remained the lone team in the section that is perfect in league play.
Belle Vernon 1, Keystone Oaks 0
Courtney Martin scored off a corner kick by Kelsey Roskovich in the second half to give Belle Vernon a 1-0 win at Keystone Oaks in Class 2A Section 1.
The loss was the first in section play for KO (3-1, 4-5). Belle Vernon is 3-1-1, 5-1-1.
Leopards goalkeeper Rory Bastedo made nine saves, including two difficult stops late in the game that preserved the shutout.
South Fayette 4, Laurel Highlands 0
Freshman Silvi Rossi scored two goals to help South Fayette secure a 4-0 win over Laurel Highlands (1-2, 3-2-1) in a Class 3A Section 3 match Thursday night.
Nora Davidovich and Gabby Beinecke added a goal each for the Lions (3-0, 5-1-1).
