McKeesport slips past Belle Vernon

BELLE VERNON – Avont Hudson’s 26-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter helped seal a 20-7 win for McKeesport at Belle Vernon (1-2) Friday night.

It was the lone score of the second half.

All the other points were scored in the first quarter. Akeem Cochran’s four-yard run and 22-yard pass from Matt Miller to Michael Wright gave McKeesport (2-2) an early 14-0 cushion.

Curtis Wade scored on an 18-yard run for Belle Vernon’s lone touchdown.
