Monessen moves to 4-0 with road win
MCKEESPORT – Monessen improved to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in Black Hills Conference play by outlasting Serra Catholic, 13-6, Friday night.
After a scoreless first half, Michael Hines caught a 30-yard pass from Kaier Payne in the third quarter to give the Greyhounds a 7-0 lead.
Chris Green connected on an 11-yard touchdown pass with Brayden Graham in the fourth quarter for Serra Catholic (0-1, 0-4), but the extra point was missed, keeping Monessen in front by a point.
Kayden Kolbeck scored on a 24-yard run for Monessen’s second touchdown. Tavian Taylor had 124 yards rushing for the Greyhounds.
