Crouse scores 2 TDs in Raiders’ loss

DORMONT – Seton LaSalle remained in a tie for first place in the Class 2A Century Conference with a 41-14 victory over Waynesburg on Thursday night at Dormont Stadium.

Quarterback Teagen Crouse scored on touchdown runs of 76 and 13 yards, but Waynesburg dropped to 0-2 in the conference and 2-4 overall. Seton LaSalle is 3-0, 5-1.

Seton LaSalle’s Kymarr Freeman opened the scoring with a four-yard run in the first quarter. Freeman found the end zone on a 56-yard run in the second quarter. He gained 121 yards on 11 carries.

Kia Jones scored on a 36-yard run as Seton LaSalle had a 14-0 advantage after the first quarter. Jones was 7 of 12 passing for 70 yards.

Crouse’s 76-yard run cut the deficit to 14-7, but Freeman’s second score extended the Rebels’ halftime lead to 14 points.

Will Martin scored on a 68-yard run in the third quarter before Crouse scored in the fourth to pull Waynesburg back to within two scores at 27-14.

Deondre Hill (18 yards) and Jonathan Wega (12 yards) ran for touchdowns to secure the win for the Rebels.
