BALDWIN – A 35-point second quarter helped South Fayette pull away from Baldwin (0-1, 0-6) in a 49-13 victory in Class 5A Allegheny Six Conference play Friday night.

After Drew Welhorsky hit Daniel Speca for a 38-yard touchdown that made it 7-0, the floodgates really opened for the Lions (1-0, 5-1) in the second.

Aayden Wright and Tyson Wright scored 12 seconds apart. Aayden had a 49-yard run and Tyson scored on an 11-yard interception return.

The Lions defense scored again when Anthony Charles returned a fumble 23-yards for a touchdown. Bo Stover and Braedon Plasko added touchdowns on runs of seven and one yard to make it 42-7 going into halftime.
