South Side finishes strong to beat Monessen

MONESSEN – After a scoreless first half, a pair of touchdown runs by Andrew Corfield in the fourth quarter helped South Side Beaver top Monessen 21-6 in a nonconference game Friday night.

Amare Moman got the scoring started for the Rams (5-1) with an 11-yard run in the third quarter. Corfield scored from 1-yard out and Moman ran in a two point conversion to make it 15-0.

The Greyhounds (4-2) got their lone score on a 44-yard pass from Kayden Kolbeck to Tavian Taylor.

Corfield put the game away with a 9-yard touchdown run.
