California had only one hit on the day, but it was a big one, an RBI triple by Landon Abercrombie in the third inning as California defeated Brownsville 3-1 in a nonsection game.

Weston Monticelli scored Abercrombie on a groundout for the second run and the Trojans (9-6) added another run in the third on an error.

Logan Hartley earned the win allowing one unearned run on six hits with eight strikeouts and three walks. Owen Rechichar pitched a clean seventh to earn the save.

Jeremiah McDonald was a hard-luck loser for Brownsville (3-12). He struck out nine and walked two in a complete game.

Jefferson-Morgan 7, Washington 1: Drew Adams allowed one run in a complete game on the mound and Jaymison Robinson tripled twice to pace Jefferson-Morgan (9-8) in a 7-1 win over Washington (8-10) in a nonsection game at EQT Park.

Robinson had a two-run triple in the top of the second, which gave the Rockets a 4-0 lead. Brayden Hanning and Evan Kniha had three hits apiece for Jefferson-Morgan.

Caleb Pattton and Isaac Charnik doubled for the Prexies. Charnik drove in Washington’s lone run.

Central Catholic 11, South Fayette 0: Central Catholic (8-10) plated four runs in the second inning and five more in the third on its way to an 11-0 nonsection win over South Fayette (10-7) in five innings.

The Lions were limited to three hits, including a double by Trey Skeen and made three errors in the field.

Frazier 16, Chartiers-Houston 12: Frazier plated six runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally past Chartiers-Houston, 16-12, and complete a sweep of a Class 2A Section 1 series Wednesday night.

The game was a makeup of a rainout back on March 31.

Frazier (3-7, 7-9) kept its playoff hopes alive with the win.

The Bucs (5-5, 9-7) had scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 12-10 lead on a two-run double by Cale Bitz and an RBI single from Aaron Walsh. Brady Gotfredson homered for the Bucs.
