Rightwesier, Neal lead Burgettstown past J-M
BURGETTSTOWN – Brody Rightweiser and Blake Neal combined for five touchdowns and Michael Carrozza returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score as Burgettstown opened the season with a 42-6 win over Jefferson-Morgan on Friday night at Hill Memorial Stadium.
Rightweiser rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns, while Neal connected on 13 of 18 passes for 192 yards and touchdowns to Caleb Matalik and Dominick Stevenson.
The Blue Devils scored 14 points in each of the first three quarters and held J-M to 177 total yards.
The Rockets scored on a 35-yard pass from Triton Farabee to EJ Lingenfield in the second quarter.
Burgettstown had only a 12-10 edge in first down but Jefferson-Morgan committed four turnovers.
