High school baseball: J-M rallies, wins on Woodward hit

Jefferson-Morgan opened its season with a 6-5 win over Berks Catholic in a game shortened to six innings on Wednesday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Rockets overcame deficits of 4-0 in the first inning and 5-2 in the fifth. J-M scored three times in the bottom of the fifth to tie. In the sixth, the Rockets had two outs and nobody on base, but two walks, gave J-M an opportunity. Deakyn DeHoet then stole third base and scored on a single by John Woodward.
