Taryne Dilak homered, doubled twice and singled and drove in six runs in a 16-0 win for Chartiers-Houston over California in four innings on Friday.

Drilak was also the winning pitcher, allowing two hits over four innings with seven strikeouts and one walk.

The Bucs (3-0) scored eight runs in the third. Mackenzie Shumar and Drilak had an RBI double. Brooklyn Hess had two RBI singles and Lauren Rush plated a run with a single. Riggle had a solo home run in the first.

Trinity 7, McGuffey 1: A six-run bottom of the sixth inning helped Trinity earn a 7-1 win over McGuffey.

The Highlanders led 1-0 after scoring on an error in the fourth inning prior to the Hillers’ outburst.

Gabby Humphreys had an RBI single, which tied the game at 1-1 in the fifth. Ally Krenzelak had a two-run single in the six-run sixth for the Hillers. Krenzelak went 3-for-3 on the day.

Miley Main doubled for McGuffey.

University School 5, Burgettstown 4: Maggie Ryder hit a walk-off single and University School secured a 5-4 win over Burgettstown in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Ryder’s single finished off a rally for University School, which trailed 4-0 after two innings. Reece Williams and Madison Luck also produced an RBI single in the seventh.,

Emma McGregor had a two-run single for the Blue Devils as part of a three-run first inning. Taylor Grace laced a single down the right field line in the second to increase Burgettstown’s lead to 4-0.

Bentworth 16, University School 1: Sydney Gonglik, Alexa Babirad, Sofia Gaussa, Makayla Gonglik and Zoie McDonald each had a multi-hit game as Bentworth dispatched University School 16-1 in three innings in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Addison McVicker and Sydney Gonglik tripled, McDonald doubled and Babirad and Makayla Gonglik homered.

Sydney Gonglik, an LSU recruit, recorded nine strikeouts in three innings and allowed one run on one hit.

Charleroi 14, Mapletown 2: Jada Sheppick and Ariahna Blouse had four hits each as Charleroi rolled to a 14-2 win over Mapletown in six innings.

As a team, Charleroi belted nine doubles and three triples.

Sheppick doubled twice, tripled and had a pair of RBIs. Blouse also had two doubles, a triple and scored four runs. Nori Stringa-Smith and Payton Huweart added two doubles each for the Cougars.

Marley Shiflett and Makenna Lotspeich had two hits each for the Maples. Lotspeich doubled and Shiflett tripled.

Jefferson-Morgan 9, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy 2: Emily Bazzoli had four hits, including a triple, drove in two runs and was the winning pitcher with 14 strikeouts in a 9-2 win for Jefferson-Morgan against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

A five-run third inning helped the Rockets secure victory. Ava Wood had an inside the park home run during the inning.

Wood, Gabriella Marmie and Kallyn Novak had two hits apiece for the Rockets.

Belle Vernon 16, Frazier 6: Belle Vernon had nine extra-base hits, including a home run by Bella Williams, and defeated Frazier 16-6 in six innings.

Williams drove in four runs, and Addyson Newman went 5-for-5 with a triple to lead the Leopards’ 17-hit attack. Kaylee Sypolt and Sydney Callaway both had a pair of doubles.

Frazier’s Emma Essington hit two home runs.
